Peer Pathways Program with the HIV/AIDS Connection

The program focuses on members of our Two Spirit, Gay, Bi, Trans* and Intersex individuals who have sex with men*. We are working to connect with, educate and empower those community members through peer led programing.

Are you a member of 2SGBTQ+ (GBMSM*) or African Caribbean and Black (ACB) with lived experience and interested in expanding your knowledge and skill in sexual health, Harm reduction and STBBI prevention?  We would like to hear from you!

Highlights of the training /workshop

1. Peer-to-Peer Approach: Learn from fellow community members, subject matter experts and peers who have firsthand experience in navigating sexual health challenges within 2SGBTQ+ African, Canadian and Black, (ACB) communities. This peer-led training ensures a safe and inclusive space for learning and growth.

2. Prevention Strategies: Explore evidence-based strategies and interventions aimed at preventing the transmission of STBBI, while considering the unique challenges and barriers faced by 2SGBTQ+ and ACB .

3. Empowerment and Support: Develop the tools and techniques to provide non-judgmental support, guidance, and advocacy for individuals in these communities, promoting their sexual health and well-being with dignity and respect.

4. Network and Collaboration: Connect with a network of peers, and professionals who are dedicated in sexual health and STBBI prevention within 2SGBTQ+  and ACB communities, fostering collaboration and collective impact.
