Karen Low

Director

Karen is a semi-retired United Church Minister currently serving as Voluntary Associate at First St. Andrew’s United Church in London. There she is also co-chair of the Affirm Committee, working for the full inclusion of people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, cultures, ethnicities, abilities and means in the Church, community and society.

When she is not writing, restoring antiques or renovating the 110-year-old house she shares with her wife Annie, their 8-year-old Australian Cobberdog River’Song, and two opinionated cats – Dobby & Merlin, Karen can be found on her indoor rower, virtually rowing across the country along the Trans-Canada Highway.

Karen looks forward to working with the QX Board, helping to build community partnerships, exploring Queer Spirituality and looking more deeply into issues that will allow individuals in the queer community to age gracefully, productively, and with the dignity they so richly deserve.
