About The Event

ABC's of Consent: We all know that understanding consent is an important life skill, but teaching it to young children can sometimes be difficult. This session discusses not only the importance of modelling consent and bodily autonomy to infants and children, but also how to navigate boundaries and ensure safety. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of early childhood consent education, as well as the tools for putting theory into practice. This workshop will take place in-person at the QXCC, located at 171 Queens Ave, London. There will be childcare provided on site. Should you wish to access this workshop from home, please indicate this in your registration, and a meeting link will be sent ahead of May 10th.

Furthermore, QX would like to acknowledge the deeply rooted history of Two Spirit peoples. Their stories, teachings, and knowledges have always existed, and we hope to continue learning from and with them.

QX invites our community to learn more about the Indigenous communities in this area. If you are looking for a place to start, the Indigenous Initiatives department through Western University has many publicly accessible videos, toolkits, and readings to support your learning.
